Virtual Pet Cemetery on a Wild Moor flower
Virtual Pet Cemetery on a Wild Moor
This lovely isolated location is on the open north Staffordshire Moors not far from Leek. A tranquil aspect looking south towards Endon and not far from the picturesque Churnet Valley. If your pet loved open countryside the wild moorland of Staffordshire is perhaps an ideal resting place.

BESSIE
Dumped in a field near our farm,
too ill and old to walk,
after care and attention by the vet.
Had 2 years in the sun before she died
with her ears pricked waiting for a treat.
LOVE Pete and Sue.

CHIP
Here lies Chip, my oldest and dearest friend. I remember when we first met, how he nudged my arm and snuffled in my pocket for the polos that he knew were in there. When I took a tumble after we were chased by a dog he seemed to feel my fear and trod carefully and surely from then onwards. He whinnied when I arrived at the gate, lifted his feet to be picked out before I asked and instilled in me a pride I never knew before and have never since. Run free dear Chip, we will meet again. Love Paul

Quackers
People said we were crazy when we bought a duck as a pet (hence her name) but Quackers did not drive us mad. She lived on the pond in our back garden. We often talked to her of the sea, of its size and depth. I don\'t think she ever quite believed us, she often ducked her head under water when we mentioned it. But she\'ll believe now as we finally managed to take her there, even if only in spirit. Rest well dear duck, our pond and hearts are empty without you. Love Gill & Pete x

Image of a Rainbow

Just this side of Heaven
is a place called
RAINBOW BRIDGE.

When an animal dies that has been especially close, that animal goes to
RAINBOW BRIDGE.

There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again.Just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing they each miss someone very special to them who has been left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks in the distance. His bright eyes are intent his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted and when you and your special friend meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress their beloved head, and you look once again into the trusting eyes of your animal, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.
