She'd go like the wind. Fast, alert and obedient. Chased cats for England. Bags of personality with a hint of daftness.... cos she was always happy to chase her own tail... for England. We had thought of racing her but didnt like the stories of cruelty that seemed to surround the breeding and disposal of retired racing greyhounds. So we kept Sasperella away from all that and just kept her as our faithful old pet. And she was for 15 years when she died in June 2008 of old age and doggy sadness after her friend, LAMBY, ( yes a little lamb that went everywhere with her) went to its maker in the sky and left her behind. Sasperella, from the day we got you from the home for abandoned pets, you were the loveliest most loving dog anyone could want. You'll be remembered for ever.
